He became official solist tenor in the renowned Orfeó Català (Catalan Choral Society), where he performed best in lieders and oratorio. In 1922 he made a sensation with his debut at the Tivoli Theater in Barcelona, as leading tenor in Enric Morera´s Don Joan de Serrallonga, at the side of the famous baritone Emilio Sagi-Barba. He made few incursions in the field of opera, but his parts in Lohengrin and Manon, of which he left recorded testimonies, are well remembered. He naturally became the zarzuela tenor: light, fine, exquisite musician. His performances in Doña Francisquita and Los Gavilanes, among others, remain the unsurpassed. He went on performing until 1953 when he retired to join again the ranks of his beloved Orfeó Català as simple choir singer. His native Barcelona offered him a funeral attended by thousands of people.

The elegant tenor sings popular catalan songs and four opera's fragments interpreted with an exceptional mastery.
