Among the Barcelona trio of coloratura sopranos of the era: Maria Barrientos, Mercedes Capsir amd Graziella Pareto, the latter was outstanding because of the beauty and delicacy of her voice. She studied singing at her native city where she made her debut as Micaela in 1906. She then performed her art all over the world, including Russia. She played all of the light lyrical repertoire: Barbiere, Rigoletto, Sonnambula, Lucia di Lammermoor, Don Pasquale, Hamlet with a great creation of Ophelia, etc. and shared billboards with the top ranking singers of her time. At the end of her career, she retired to Italy.September the first of 1973 she died in Rome.

Her singing delighted the American audiences in the 20's. The unic rival of great Barrientos in opera and song.
