After his studies of singing in Barcelona, his debut with Zandonai's Francesca da Rimini (Trieste 1919) propelled him to fame and he became tenor for the masses. First of all in Madrid, Teatro Real, with Carmen and then in Rome, Milan, New York and Buenos Aires. Puccini considered him his favourite tenor and in 1926 Fleta sang at the premičre of this composer's posthumous opera Turandot. In his later years, with his faculties prematurely dwindling, he sang a great deal in Spain, in particular zarzuela. He died at La Coruņa, in the midst at the Civil War.

This issue joined with numbers 14 and 21 present the unique collection of the complete recordings of the tenor Miguel Fleta published in CD.
